Program and Event Series – August 2026
Come to the library this month for some family fun! The Friends of the Franklin County Public Libraries invite you - residents and visitors - to join us for exciting programs at both the Eastpoint and Carrabelle branches! From book discussions to crafts to tech support, there's something for everyone! These programs, events, presentations and performances offer opportunities for adults, children, and families to come together, explore their creativity, and enjoy time with others. All events are free and open to the public - no library card needed! Supplies are provided. Please note: both branches will be closing at 1 pm on Wednesday, August 26 for staff development.

Infinity Day - Saturday, August 8, from 11 am to 1:30 pm - Carrabelle Branch
Activities include Infinity Mirrors at 11 am, Infinity Art Cards at 11:30 am, Infinite Knots (Macramé) at 12 pm, and the Paper Plate Infinity Loop Game at 12:45 pm. Ongoing fun includes an Infinity Symbol Scavenger Hunt with prizes, an Infinite Mural Wall, and Infinite Building with LEGOs and Magna-Tiles. This program invites all ages to explore the concept of infinity through engaging, hands-on activities.

This workshop offers adults the opportunity to create a craft they may have missed at an earlier session or revisit one of their favorites. With a variety of craft projects available, participants can enjoy a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere while expressing their creativity, regardless of skill level.
Community Conversations - Saturday, August 15 at 11 am - Eastpoint Branch
The Franklin County Public Library invites community members to share their experiences, identify barriers, and suggest improvements to make the Eastpoint Branch more welcoming and accessible for everyone. Feedback will help guide future improvements through the Libraries Transforming Communities: Accessible Small and Rural Communities grant. Open to all.
