Come to the library this month for some family fun! The Friends of the Franklin County Public Libraries invite you - residents and visitors - to join us for exciting programs at both the Eastpoint and Carrabelle branches! From storytimes to crafts to STEM activities, there's something for everyone! These programs, events, presentations and performances offer opportunities for adults, children, and families to come together, explore their creativity, and enjoy time with others. All events are free and open to the public - no library card needed! Supplies are provided.

Adult Crafternoon: Hanging Hand Towel - Thursday, February 12 @ 2:30 PM - Eastpoint Branch
We will be sewing a hand towel to a potholder for hanging. You will get the opportunity to get an easy hands-on lesson with a sewing machine. Please join us for a relaxing and creative afternoon! All materials supplied—perfect for both beginners and seasoned crafters.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a prickly-cute friend! Enjoy a hedgehog-themed storytime and take-home craft
filled with love, laughter, and fun. After the story, meet a real hedgehog and learn how to gently pet and play with this adorable animal. It’s a hands-on, heart-warming experience you won’t want to miss! This session is little kid friendly.

Chinese Lunar New Year Storytime & Activity - Monday, February 16 @ 1:30pm - Eastpoint Branch
Great for families and all ages. Celebrate the Year of the Dragon at the Library! Join us for a festive storytime as we welcome the Chinese Lunar New Year with sound, color, and creativity. We’ll read a beautifully illustrated eBook on our Smart Board, brought to life with magical sound effects from Novel Effect.After the story, children can enjoy a hands‑on activity inspired by Lunar New Year traditions—perfect for curious minds and busy hands. Event Highlights: Interactive eBook storytime on the Smart Board; Immersive sound effects powered by Novel Effect; A fun, kid‑friendly Lunar New Year craft to take home.

Pokémon Party - Friday, February 27 at 3:30 pm at the Eastpoint Branch & at 4:30pm at the Carrabelle Branch
Celebrate Pokémon Day with an all-ages creature trainer event inspired by the world of Pokémon! All ages are welcome! Visitors can: create their own Trainer Card; complete fun challenges to earn a Trainer Certificate; explore books and reading activities; trade collectible cards with other trainers; and enjoy light refreshments while you play. No registration required.
