Program and Event Series – April 2026

Come to the library this month for some family fun! The Friends of the Franklin County Public Libraries invite you - residents and visitors -  to join us for exciting programs at both the Eastpoint and Carrabelle branches! From storytimes to crafts to STEM activities, there's something for everyone! These programs, events, presentations and performances offer opportunities for adults, children, and families to come together, explore their creativity, and enjoy time with others. All events are free and open to the public - no library card needed! Supplies are provided.

Tech Help - Tuesday, April 7 at 11:00 AM - Carrabelle Branch
One-on-one technology assistance for patrons who need help with devices, email, digital resources, and basic tech skills. No registration required—drop-ins welcome!

Creation Station: Build a Birdhouse - Wednesday, April 8 @ 4:00 PM - Eastpoint Branch
Put the pieces together and make a birdhouse to take home. Hands-on STEM activities and creative tinkering for ages 7–12. 

Adult Crafternoon: Make a Custom Decorative Plate - Thursday, April 9 @ 2:30 PM - Eastpoint Branch
At this workshop guests will make their own custom decorative plate by either bringing in a design or picking one provided. This easy hands-on program will be provided in a relaxed, welcoming setting and is open to adults of all skill levels. Only 12 Spots Available! Registration is encouraged.  All materials supplied—perfect for both beginners and seasoned crafters.

Video Game Hour - Friday, April 10 at 4:30 PM - Carrabelle Branch
Teens and tweens are invited to unwind and compete on the Nintendo Switch during this fun and casual gaming hour. Bring a friend!

Join us for lively discussion over this month’s pick: Frozen River by Ariel Lawhorn. Whether you read it cover-to-cover or just skimmed the chapters, all are welcome! Snacks and stories await! 

Writer’s Forum - Wednesday, April 15 at 1:00 PM - Eastpoint Branch
Writers of all genres and skill levels are welcome! Share work, get feedback, and discuss the craft in a supportive environment. Meets monthly.

During this hands-on craft session, participants will transform a book into a charming folded-page vase, creating a unique piece of vintage-inspired home décor for a beautiful, inexpensive floral centerpiece that can be enjoyed for years to come.

Special Earth Day Craft Program. Create a unique wind chime by recycling a wine bottle into a charming piece of outdoor décor, highlighting the fun and creativity of turning everyday items into something new.
