National Friends of Libraries Week – October 19–25, 2025
National Friends of the Library Week will be celebrated October 19–25, 2025
Love your local library? Excited for those exclusive author talks and children’s programs? How about seasonal book and soup sales where you snag great reads and soups at amazing prices?
Ever wonder how your local libraries are able to offer all the incredible programs — like Adult Crafternoons (DIY candles, macramé, themed-planters, palm frond art, faux stained glass), STEM fun (Mini-greenhouses, melting race), Book Chats, Kid's Crafts, Tech Help, Storytimes — completely FREE and open to the public, with all supplies provided?
It’s YOU! Well, it could be if you join the Friends of the Franklin County Public Libraries. The Friends cover the costs of many of these supplies, ensuring our community and visitors can learn, create, connect, and have fun without any extra cost. We’re the ones behind those book and soup sales, and we’re often there volunteering, too.
Want to keep these amazing programs going? Join the Friends today! Memberships start at just $20 a year, and every dollar helps make these library offerings possible. Visit our Membership page to sign up or learn more! Become a member today and help support the magic of your library!
